Privacy policy

HeyGo collects the details it needs to run bookings and to make both sides of a trip identifiable, and nothing beyond that. This page sets out exactly what that means.

1. Scope

This policy explains what personal data HeyGo collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website and the HeyGo customer and driver portals.

2. What we collect

  • Account details: name, mobile number, email address and password (stored in hashed form).
  • Customer address details provided during registration, used to identify you and to support bookings.
  • Driver and vehicle details: vehicle registration number, name, model, class (passenger or goods), payload capacity, a photo of the vehicle and a photo of the driving licence.
  • Booking and trip data: routes searched, bookings made, trip status, completion and reviews.
  • Messages you send us, including anything you submit through the contact or launch-list forms on this website.
  • Basic technical data your browser sends when you load a page, such as IP address and user agent.

3. Why we use it

  • To create and verify your account, including sending the OTP that activates it.
  • To operate bookings: matching riders and shippers with published trips, and showing each side what they need to know about the other.
  • To publish the vehicle information customers rely on when choosing a vehicle for a load.
  • To support you when something goes wrong with a trip, and to investigate misuse of the platform.
  • To meet legal, tax and safety obligations that apply to transport services.

4. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use the details you leave on this website for anything other than replying to you.

5. Who can see your data

Other users see only what a booking requires. A customer sees the driver and vehicle details published for the trip; a driver sees the booking details needed to carry it out.

Service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, email delivery and form handling) process data on our instructions. We share data with authorities only where the law requires it.

6. How long we keep it

Account and trip records are kept while your account is active, and afterwards only for as long as needed for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes. Messages sent through this website are kept only as long as needed to answer them.

7. Your choices

  • Access and correction: your details can be viewed and updated from your profile in the portal.
  • Deletion: sign in and use the account deletion page in the portal. You must be signed in to the account you want to delete.
  • Questions or complaints about your data: email us and we will respond.

8. Security

Accounts are protected by a password and OTP verification of your mobile number. Keep your password confidential and tell us immediately if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.

9. Cookies and this website

This marketing website is static and does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The HeyGo portals use storage in your browser to keep you signed in during a session.

10. Children

HeyGo is not intended for use by children. Accounts must be created by adults.

11. Changes and contact

We will update this page if our practices change, and the date above shows when it was last revised.
